Invite some friends or family and host a private painting party! Choose your project from my selection or choose your own design. Options available are:
Option 1 Choose any painting from the Landscape Series, Floral Series, Coffee Series OR Wine Connoisseur Series.
Each painting can be completed in approximately 4-5 hours. These projects are suitable for painters and non-painters alike with guaranteed great results! This option will include a photograph of the finished painting, painting instructions, use of all required brushes and paints, prepared painting surface (ie. canvas or board), and incidental supplies, for a flat fee of $95 per student, with a minimum of 3 students (not including host).
(A list of supplies that each student will need to bring from home will be provided ahead of class time.)
Option 2
Choose what you would like for your group to paint, either from my repertoire of designs or from some other source. The number of hours required to complete a particular project will depend on the design chosen but participants may choose to complete some of the painting on their own to save on class time. The fee would not include the cost of the painting design packet chosen (if one of mine) or specific painting supplies required including surface. My painting design packets include a photograph of the finished painting, complete written notes of the painting procedure, and a reference line drawing and range in price from $8. You may prefer that your group paint a design of your, or each of their own choosing, and if so I would provide you/them with specific instructions ahead of class to enable your group to prepare their painting surfaces to make best use of class time. Minimum of 3 students (not including host), 3 hours, $25/hour per student.
(Please Note: some painting designs currently being offered as classes in the studio may not be available for private parties.)
*Please note: adequate lighting is a consideration for home parties and is the host/hostess artist's responsibility. I can provide painting surfaces and all required supplies (brushes, paint, etc.) if needed for Option 2.
**Prices quoted would be reduced by one half for the host/hostess artist who would not be included in the minimum # of students if the party is to be held at the host/hostess' home.
***Payment to be made in advance of the party by the host/hostess artist. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac or cash.
Suggestions for the Host/Hostess Artist:
- Feel free to invite any of your friends who may be interested in painting if choosing Option 1. These projects are suitable for both painters and non-painters alike with great results! If choosing Option 1, you will have nothing to do in advance of class except invite the participants, collect their fees, and distribute Supply Lists for each to bring from home. All prepared painting surfaces and supplies will be brought by me to your home approx. ½ hour in advance of class time and set up for the students.
- Option 2 requires that the friends you invite have had at least introductory painting classes with some grounding in colour theory, preferably but not necessarily at Tiggy’s. If choosing Option 2, you will need to invite your participants and decide on a painting project well in advance of class (suggested 3 weeks minimum). I can meet with you to discuss painting preparation for your participants and to order any specific supplies that may be required. Please keep in mind that most supplies need to be special ordered and may take up to 3 weeks to arrive depending on what they are.
- Any beverage/food is totally at your discretion and certainly not a requirement, however having coffee/tea/water available is always appreciated, and is provided at the studio.
- A non-refundable deposit of $50 (Visa, Mastercard, Interac, or cash) will be required upon booking, and the balance will be payable one week in advance of the date booked. Regardless of Option chosen, I can bring with me a selection of art supplies (ie. brushes, paints, palettes, etc.) in case students require or wish to buy anything during class. (Any supplies sold at the Host/Hostess’ home would necessitate cash/cheque payment. 10% of sales-not including taxes-would be a credit for the host to use towards his/her purchases.)
